Moto Safi, Clean energy from Organic Waste
Kebulan Cycle’s flagship renewable energy programme which turns the waste problem on its head. Instead of treating organic waste as a nuisance, Moto Safi treats it as fuel. Moto Safi seeks to deploy biogas infrastructure at three distinct but complementary levels, household, institutional, and industrial, creating a coherent, interlocking system that delivers clean energy, reduces greenhouse gas emissions, creates jobs, and generates sustainable revenue streams.

Punguza360, Digital solutions for the Circular Economy
A configurable data platform for the clean-energy, climate and carbon-markets sector. Rather than a fixed, pre-built product, it is a toolkit: organisations design their own data-collection forms, workflows and dashboards without writing code, then use that data to reduce emissions and unlock climate. Designed first for resource-constrained, low-connectivity settings, and built on the same proven, open-source “generic toolkit” approach that has been used to run national-scale data systems in other sectors.

CIRCULAR PROTEIN
Funza farming, Nature’s Most Efficient Recycler
The Black Soldier Fly is, by some margin, one of nature’s most efficient biological processors: it converts organic waste into high-protein biomass at a rate that makes conventional livestock farming look rather profligate. Kebulan Cycle’s BSF enterprise converts waste streams into premium animal feed and organic fertiliser, supporting poultry farming, aquaculture, horticulture, and commercial feed production.
AGROFORESTRY
Bamboo Artisans, The Timber Alternative
Bamboo grows at a pace that would make a conventional hardwood blush, sequesters substantial quantities of carbon, and produces timber-grade material in three to five years rather than thirty. Kebulan Cycle’s bamboo agroforestry initiative promotes cultivation and creative application in carpentry, construction and cooking as a commercially viable, ecological substitute for threatened indigenous timber species.

NATURAL MATERIALS
Udongo Floors, Millennia of Proven Performance
Earthen floors are not a novelty. They are, in fact, among the oldest and most refined building technologies in human history, and for excellent reason. Made from locally sourced clay, sand, straw, and water, they are sustainable, breathable, thermally comfortable, and aesthetically striking. Kebulan Cycle is professionalising their production and positioning them as a premium, eco-friendly alternative to imported materials for low-income rural homes.
WASTE INNOVATION
Kawa Concrete, Spent Grounds Reimagined
Uganda produces rather a lot of coffee. It also produces rather a lot of spent coffee grounds, which currently go largely to waste. Kebulan Cycle’s Coffee Concrete integrates biochar derived from those spent grounds into standard concrete mixtures, replacing a portion of the sand component. The result is a material with improved thermal properties, reduced carbon footprint, and not insignificantly lower production costs. The coffee, in a sense, never stops working.
